With the many options for transportation that Minneapolis and Saint Paul provide, your next adventure will be a short ride away—and with helpful resources such as , planning your outing is even easier.

 

Hamline's transportation options

Metro Transit college pass

As a Hamline student, you’ll be eligible for a , which allows you unlimited rides on buses and trains for the entire semester.

Metro Transit college passes are available to Hamline students at the Cashier's window located in the Student Administrative Services Office, East Hall 113.  Please call 651-523-3000 with questions.

HourCar

HourCar is the Twin Cities' nonprofit carshare program, and Hamline now has a car on campus! If you're over 18, with a valid driver's license in good standing, you can book time to reserve the Hamline HourCar (minimum 30 minutes). Go to the grocery store, drive yourself to an appointment, go see a show... It's easy!

How to use HourCar:

  1. Download the Evie Carshare app from the (Mac) or Google Play (Android).
  2. There's a small monthly fee (currently $6/month) for students to use the service. This can be paid through the app. 
  3. Book time through the app to use the car. You will be charged by the hour (rates are available in the app).
  4. When it's your turn, find the car at 1494 Taylor Avenue, north of Lot B (by Facilities). . The car is parked in a designated parking spot with prominent signage.
  5. When you're finished, return the car to the same location.

Note: HourCar offers a second service, Evie, that lets you drive any Evie car you find parked in the neighborhood and return it anywhere within a designated radius. The Evie Carshare app also provides a map showing where Evie cars are currently located.
